Lucid Group (LCID) Analyst Ratings
Bulls say
Lucid Group is supported by a credible demand rebound, with orders more than doubling from Feb to March and management pointing to tailwinds in H2 from the discontinuation of the Model S/X, rising oil prices, and potential EU tariffs. Its balance sheet also appears resilient, with a liquidity runway extending to H2 2027 backed by about $2.3 billion of cash and investments plus $2.4 billion in facilities, while FY26 production guidance of 25,000-27,000 vehicles and $1.2 billion-$1.4 billion in capex signals continued scale-up. Longer term, the company’s path to ~100,000 vehicles, positive gross margins, and major upside from robotaxi, B2B, and non-new vehicle revenue streams, alongside the late-2026 midsize platform and sub-$50,000 pricing, strengthens the fundamental case.
Bears say
Lucid Group is challenged by deeply negative unit economics, with Q1 gross margin worsening to -110% from -81% as lower volumes, tariffs, and inventory write-downs overwhelmed any offsetting benefits. Its operating visibility is also poor: the company suspended 2026 guidance, missed 1Q26 deliveries at 3,093 versus 3,941 expected, and cited a supplier issue and mixed demand conditions that cloud the path to a durable recovery. Although it raised about $1.05B from PIF, Uber, and a public offering, the cash infusion mainly underscores ongoing funding needs while Gravity’s high starting price near $95k and a 1Q26 operating loss of roughly $985M-$1,005M suggest limited near-term fundamental improvement.
