Oklo Inc (OKLO) Analyst Ratings
Bulls say
Oklo is supported by a differentiated developer/IPP model that captures value across electricity, fuel fabrication, recycling, and isotopes, which should make future cash flows more bankable than a pure equipment-vendor approach. Its first firm commercial traction with Meta, plus a disclosed pipeline of about 18.1 GW and a 1.2 GW Pike County campus, suggests meaningful demand for firm, carbon-free power, while the vertically integrated fuel loop helps address a critical supply constraint. Financially, the model points to FOAK unlevered IRRs of about 6.5% and NOAK IRRs near 13%, with EBITDA margins potentially reaching roughly 60% at scale as repeated builds, fuel recycling, and licensing progress improve economics.
Bears say
Oklo is fundamentally challenged by a business model that remains highly conditional on unresolved fuel allocation, with DOE plutonium access, future HALEU supply, and recycling economics all still uncertain while fabrication and material-handling costs could be substantial. Its economics also appear distant and execution-heavy: 2Q26 revenue was only $1.2M versus a ($73.2M) operating loss, R&D rose 46% q/q to $39.5M, capex reached $94M, and losses are expected to remain negative through 2030 before EBITDA turns positive in 2031E. On top of that, the company faces regulatory and deployment risk after its 2022 NRC denial, multi-year PJM interconnection bottlenecks, non-binding customer MOUs, and competition from cheaper power alternatives and other advanced reactor developers.
