PICS Analyst Ratings
Bulls say
PicS is viewed favorably because it is executing a clear mix shift toward safer, fee-like and secured credit, with 71% of 2Q26 revenues now from no/low-risk loans versus 63% in 2Q25 and 86% of 2Q26 incremental portfolio growth from lower-risk loans and mature credit cards. The business is also scaling efficiently, as the credit portfolio reached R$31.9B in 2Q26, ROE rebounded to the 20% range, ARPAC rose 45% y/y to R$83.3 per active client, and the adjusted efficiency ratio improved to 44.8%. Despite some NPL seasonality and NIMAL pressure, the company still beat expectations across revenue and earnings, while the August Kovr acquisition and AI-led headcount discipline support further operating leverage and net income growth.
Bears say
PicS is viewed negatively because, despite 2Q26 revenue of R$4.12B and adjusted net income of R$283M beating estimates, its economics are deteriorating as net interest margin after losses fell 1.1 ppts y/y to 8.9% and gross margin was only 30.2% versus the 32.0% expectation. Credit quality also looks fragile, with >90-day NPLs rising to 8.9% from 7.2% in 4Q25 and 4.0% in 1Q25, while the mix shift toward private payroll loans requires heavier upfront loss provisioning. Beyond earnings, the company faces outsized Brazil concentration, regulatory and cybersecurity risks, and a controlling shareholder with 96.3% of combined voting power, which together heighten volatility and limit confidence in durable growth.
